Description

Dark ruby center moving towards lighter ruby and crimson shades at the rim. The nose starts with dried black cherry, red plum, dark cranberry, and faint licorice. Dusty earth with red flowers, rocky soil, and a little cedar make up the background. The wine is mouthfilling but not heavy by any means, yet beautifully polished and integrated while being ready to enjoy within 20“30 minutes of air.
The 2017 Chianti Classico is plump and juicy, with soft contours and plenty of immediacy. Succulent dark cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco, spice and espresso all come together in this flashy, extroverted Classico. The 2017 is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot that spent 12 months in small French oak barrels.
